Carp is a common name for various fresh water fish . Carp is a very large group of fish originally from Eurasia and Southeast Asia. Carp has long been used as an important food fish for humans. The most notable and popular ornamental carp is coarse fish that are difficult to hook. In USA, carp is classified as a rough fish. Many of the states have also started viewing the carps as angling fish instead of maligned pest. Carps are considered as the queen of rivers and a stately and subtle fish. In England, carps have been naturalized though earlier the carps were not bred in England. In Australia, scientific studies have proved that carps are the cause of permanent turbidity and loss of submerged vegetation system, with severe consequences for river ecosystems water quality and native fish species.
