Dolly Varden Trout is a subspecies of salmon family. Biologically a char fish, Dolly Varden Trout is an anadromous fish,which migrate on regular basis. A significant population dolly varden trout exists in the landlocked waterways in the northwest United States. Bull trout and arctic char that are identical in appearance to dolly varden trouts were originally known as dolly varden trout; however, they have been subsequently recognized as different species.
The back and the sides of dolly varden trout are olive green or muddy grey with scattered pale yellow or pink-yellow spots and white shade on the belly.
