The Angelfish belongs to the family of cichlidae fish species. It is considered as one of the world?s most beautiful and enchanting fish species. The Angelfish is not just an attractive fish but also a very hardy one. The unique disk body shape of Angelfish as well as its beautiful patterns and colors make this breed a very impressive member of the aquarium display showcase.
Angelfish come from Central and South America and thrive in a community of similar fish. However, it is not sociable to smaller fish species. When young, they stick together with their own kind. When they are older, they are inclined towards pairing and become territorial in nature. Angelfish are omnivores. Their diet consists of fresh, live and flake food and pellets. For treats, you may give bloodworms and brine shrimp that may be served either live or frozen. Interestingly, Angelfish also feed on spinach and lettuce.
