Angel Shark fishes are unusual genus of sharks with flattened bodies and broad pectoral fins and almost ray-like. They have a strong resemblance to skates and rays. They can be found throughout the world in temperate and tropical seas. They are also known as monk sharks, sand devil and monkfish. They bury themselves in mud or sand with only eyes and part of the body exposed. With a blunt snout, they can easily camouflage to blend in the sand and rocks of the ocean bed.

Forward part of the body is broad and flattened and read part retains a muscular that is more typical of other sharks. Their eyes and spiracles are on the top and five gill slits are on the bottom. Pectoral and pelvic fins are large like wings and held horizontally. Majority of the angel sharks grow to a length of about 1.5 meters (5 feet). Japanese angel sharks are known to grow up to 2 meters. They feed on crustaceans, mollusks and other types of fish. They are generally not aggressive but they can bite when stepped on or handled.

African lungfishes have their usual habitats in swamps and marshes in shallow waters and small rivers. They can also be found in large lakes like Lake Victoria. They have a snake-like appearance. There are total four species of African lungfishes. They are carnivores and feed on small fishes and frogs. They can live out of water for many months the burrow of hardened mud beneath dried-up streambed. Native Africans often dig the lungfishes up, burrow and store it for future use as a fresh fish.
African lungfishes have a strong taste; people like it very much or dislike it absolutely. They range in size from 60 to 200 cm. They have two lungs that enable them to breathe air through another lung when the water has dried-up. They are considered as fearless and aggressive fishes that attack any moving objects including human hands. In many states, export of lungfishes is legally banned. They can survive in any types of atmosphere including low oxygen areas.
