The scientific name of the maroon clownfish is premnas biaculeatus. This species of clownfish swims the waters of the Great Barrier Reef as well as the Indo-Pacific Ocean. It is also known as the maroon anemonefish or the spine-cheeked clownfish. As with other clownfish species, the notable feature of this fish breed is its stripes, which are normally white but may also be yellow in some fish.

Dorados generally live under a depth of over 1000 feet. Their average size is 7-13 kg and rarely exceed 15 kg in weight. Average lifepsan of dorados is 4-5 years. Dorado often changes its color when removed from water and finally fading to a muted yellow-grey upon its death. They feed on flying fish, crabs, squids, mackerels, crustaceans and other small fish. Dragonet has an elongate and a scaleless body with strong spine guards, which may be poisonous in some of the species. Their fins are large, elongate and showy. They have flattened and triangular heads with large mouth and eyes. Size of dragonets varies depending upon the species; the largest (Longtail Dragonet) reaches a length of 30 cm (1 feet) and the other hand, smallest species (Saint Helena Dragonet) is just 2 cm long. Dragonets feed on crustaceans, worms and other small invertebrates picked from the substrates. In captivity, dragonets eat only live food, often starving to death if sufficient live food items are available.
